بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ ‏ غَرۡقًا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱﴾ By the angels who drag forth vehemently. وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ ‏ نَشۡطًا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲﴾ By the angels who release with gentle release. وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ ‏ سَبۡحًا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۳﴾ By the angels who glide swimmingiy, فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ ‏ سَبۡقًا ۙ ‏ ﴿۴﴾ And then they speed with foremost speed. فَالۡمُدَبِّرٰتِ ‏ اَمۡرًا‌ ۘ‏ ‏ ﴿۵﴾ And then they manage the affair, يَوۡمَ ‏ تَرۡجُفُ ‏ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۶﴾ A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, تَتۡبَعُهَا ‏ الرَّادِفَةُ ؕ ‏ ﴿۷﴾ And there will follow it the next blast. قُلُوۡبٌ ‏ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ ‏ وَّاجِفَةٌ ۙ ‏ ﴿۸﴾ Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; اَبۡصَارُهَا ‏ خَاشِعَةٌ‌ ۘ‏ ‏ ﴿۹﴾ Their looks will be downcast. يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ‏ ءَاِنَّا ‏ لَمَرۡدُوۡدُوۡنَ ‏ فِى ‏ الۡحَـافِرَةِ ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾ They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, ءَاِذَا ‏ كُنَّا ‏ عِظَامًا ‏ نَّخِرَةً ؕ ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾ When we have become bones decayed! قَالُوۡا ‏ تِلۡكَ ‏ اِذًا ‏ كَرَّةٌ ‏ خَاسِرَةٌ‌ ۘ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾ They say: that then shall be a losing return. فَاِنَّمَا ‏ هِىَ ‏ زَجۡرَةٌ ‏ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾ It will be only one scaring shout, فَاِذَا ‏ هُمۡ ‏ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾ And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. هَلۡ ‏ اَتٰٮكَ ‏ حَدِيۡثُ ‏ مُوۡسٰى‌ۘ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾ Hath there come Unto thee the story of Musa! اِذۡ ‏ نَادٰٮهُ ‏ رَبُّهٗ ‏ بِالۡوَادِ ‏ الۡمُقَدَّسِ ‏ طُوًى‌ۚ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾ Recall what time his Lord called Unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. اِذۡهَبۡ ‏ اِلٰى ‏ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ‏ اِنَّهٗ ‏ طَغٰى ۖ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾ Saying:'go thou Unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. فَقُلۡ ‏ هَلۡ ‏ لَّكَ ‏ اِلٰٓى ‏ اَنۡ ‏ تَزَكّٰى ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾ Then say thou: 'wouldst thou to be purified? وَاَهۡدِيَكَ ‏ اِلٰى ‏ رَبِّكَ ‏ فَتَخۡشٰى‌ۚ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾ Then shall guide thee Unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. فَاَرٰٮهُ ‏ الۡاٰيَةَ ‏ الۡكُبۡرٰى ۖ ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾ Then he shewed him the great sign. فَكَذَّبَ ‏ وَعَصٰى ۖ ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾ Yet he belied and disobeyed. ثُمَّ ‏ اَدۡبَرَ ‏ يَسۡعٰىۖ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾ Then he turned back striving. فَحَشَرَ ‏ فَنَادٰىۖ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾ Then he gathered and cried aloud, فَقَالَ ‏ اَنَا ‏ رَبُّكُمُ ‏ الۡاَعۡلٰى ۖ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾ And he said: I am Your Lord, most high. فَاَخَذَهُ ‏ اللّٰهُ ‏ نَڪَالَ ‏ الۡاٰخِرَةِ ‏ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾ Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. اِنَّ ‏ فِىۡ ‏ ذٰلِكَ ‏ لَعِبۡرَةً ‏ لِّمَنۡ ‏ يَّخۡشٰىؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾ Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. ءَاَنۡتُمۡ ‏ اَشَدُّ ‏ خَلۡقًا ‏ اَمِ ‏ السَّمَآءُ‌ ؕ‌ ‏ بَنٰٮهَا ‏ ﴿۲۷﴾ Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? رَفَعَ ‏ سَمۡكَهَا ‏ فَسَوَّٮهَا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۸﴾ He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. وَاَغۡطَشَ ‏ لَيۡلَهَا ‏ وَاَخۡرَجَ ‏ ضُحٰٮهَا‏ ‏ ﴿۲۹﴾ And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. وَالۡاَرۡضَ ‏ بَعۡدَ ‏ ذٰلِكَ ‏ دَحٰٮهَا ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۳۰﴾ And the earth!- thereafter He stretched it out. اَخۡرَجَ ‏ مِنۡهَا ‏ مَآءَهَا ‏ وَمَرۡعٰٮهَا ‏ ﴿۳۱﴾ And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. وَالۡجِبَالَ ‏ اَرۡسٰٮهَا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۳۲﴾ And the mountains! - He established them firm: مَتَاعًا ‏ لَّـكُمۡ ‏ وَلِاَنۡعَامِكُمۡؕ ‏ ﴿۳۳﴾ A provision for you and your cattle. فَاِذَا ‏ جَآءَتِ ‏ الطَّآمَّةُ ‏ الۡكُبۡرٰى ۖ ‏ ﴿۳۴﴾ Then when the Grand Calamity shall come يَوۡمَ ‏ يَتَذَكَّرُ ‏ الۡاِنۡسَانُ ‏ مَا ‏ سَعٰىۙ ‏ ﴿۳۵﴾ The Day whereon man shall rember whatsoever he had striven for. وَبُرِّزَتِ ‏ الۡجَحِيۡمُ ‏ لِمَنۡ ‏ يَّرٰى‏ ‏ ﴿۳۶﴾ And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. فَاَمَّا ‏ مَنۡ ‏ طَغٰىۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۳۷﴾ Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, وَاٰثَرَ ‏ الۡحَيٰوةَ ‏ الدُّنۡيَا ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۳۸﴾ And who chose the life of the world, فَاِنَّ ‏ الۡجَحِيۡمَ ‏ هِىَ ‏ الۡمَاۡوٰىؕ ‏ ﴿۳۹﴾ Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. وَاَمَّا ‏ مَنۡ ‏ خَافَ ‏ مَقَامَ ‏ رَبِّهٖ ‏ وَنَهَى ‏ النَّفۡسَ ‏ عَنِ ‏ الۡهَوٰىۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۴۰﴾ And as for him who dreaded standing before his Lord, and restrained his soul from lust, فَاِنَّ ‏ الۡجَـنَّةَ ‏ هِىَ ‏ الۡمَاۡوٰىؕ ‏ ﴿۴۱﴾ Verily the Garden! -that shall be his resort. يَسۡـــَٔلُوۡنَكَ ‏ عَنِ ‏ السَّاعَةِ ‏ اَيَّانَ ‏ مُرۡسٰٮهَا ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۴۲﴾ They question thee of the Hour:'when will its arrival be? فِيۡمَ ‏ اَنۡتَ ‏ مِنۡ ‏ ذِكۡرٰٮهَاؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۴۳﴾ Wherein art thou concerred with the declaration thereof! اِلٰى ‏ رَبِّكَ ‏ مُنۡتَهٰٮهَاؕ ‏ ﴿۴۴﴾ Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. اِنَّمَاۤ ‏ اَنۡتَ ‏ مُنۡذِرُ ‏ مَنۡ ‏ يَّخۡشٰٮهَاؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۴۵﴾ Thou art but a warner Unto him who feareth. كَاَنَّهُمۡ ‏ يَوۡمَ ‏ يَرَوۡنَهَا ‏ لَمۡ ‏ يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا ‏ اِلَّا ‏ عَشِيَّةً ‏ اَوۡ ‏ ضُحٰٮهَا‏ ‏ ﴿۴۶﴾ On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof.
