بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. هَلۡ ‏ اَتٰٮكَ ‏ حَدِيۡثُ ‏ الۡغَاشِيَةِؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۱﴾ Hath there come Unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? وُجُوۡهٌ ‏ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ ‏ خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲﴾ Faces on that Day shall be downcast, عَامِلَةٌ ‏ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۳﴾ Travailing, worn. تَصۡلٰى ‏ نَارًا ‏ حَامِيَةً ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۴﴾ They shall roast into the scalding Fire, تُسۡقٰى ‏ مِنۡ ‏ عَيۡنٍ ‏ اٰنِيَةٍؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۵﴾ Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. لَـيۡسَ ‏ لَهُمۡ ‏ طَعَامٌ ‏ اِلَّا ‏ مِنۡ ‏ ضَرِيۡعٍۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۶﴾ No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, لَّا ‏ يُسۡمِنُ ‏ وَلَا ‏ يُغۡنِىۡ ‏ مِنۡ ‏ جُوۡعٍؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۷﴾ Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. وُجُوۡهٌ ‏ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ ‏ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۸﴾ Faces on that Day shall be de lighted, لِّسَعۡيِهَا ‏ رَاضِيَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۹﴾ With their endeavour well pleased. فِىۡ ‏ جَنَّةٍ ‏ عَالِيَةٍۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۰﴾ They shall be in a Garden lofty: لَّا ‏ تَسۡمَعُ ‏ فِيۡهَا ‏ لَاغِيَةً ؕ ‏ ﴿۱۱﴾ They shall hear therein no vain discourse; فِيۡهَا ‏ عَيۡنٌ ‏ جَارِيَةٌ‌ ۘ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۲﴾ Therein shall be a spring running! فِيۡهَا ‏ سُرُرٌ ‏ مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۳﴾ Therein shall be couches elevated! وَّاَكۡوَابٌ ‏ مَّوۡضُوۡعَةٌ ۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۴﴾ And goblets ready placed! وَّنَمَارِقُ ‏ مَصۡفُوۡفَةٌ ۙ ‏ ﴿۱۵﴾ And cushions ranged! وَّزَرَابِىُّ ‏ مَبۡثُوۡثَةٌ ؕ ‏ ﴿۱۶﴾ And carpets ready spread, اَفَلَا ‏ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ‏ اِلَى ‏ الۡاِ ‏ بِلِ ‏ كَيۡفَ ‏ خُلِقَتۡ ‏ ﴿۱۷﴾ Look they not at the camels, how they are created? وَاِلَى ‏ السَّمَآءِ ‏ كَيۡفَ ‏ رُفِعَتۡ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۸﴾ And at the heaven, how it is raised? وَاِلَى ‏ الۡجِبَالِ ‏ كَيۡفَ ‏ نُصِبَتۡ‏ ‏ ﴿۱۹﴾ And at the mountains, how they are rooted? وَاِلَى ‏ الۡاَرۡضِ ‏ كَيۡفَ ‏ سُطِحَتۡ ‏ ﴿۲۰﴾ And at the earth, how it is outspread? فَذَكِّرۡ ؕ ‏ اِنَّمَاۤ ‏ اَنۡتَ ‏ مُذَكِّرٌ ؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۱﴾ Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. لَـسۡتَ ‏ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ‏ بِمُصَۜيۡطِرٍۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۲﴾ Thou art not over them a warden. اِلَّا ‏ مَنۡ ‏ تَوَلّٰى ‏ وَكَفَرَۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۳﴾ But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve - فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ‏ اللّٰهُ ‏ الۡعَذَابَ ‏ الۡاَكۡبَرَؕ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۴﴾ Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. اِنَّ ‏ اِلَيۡنَاۤ ‏ اِيَابَهُمۡۙ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۵﴾ Verily Unto us is their reckoning. ثُمَّ ‏ اِنَّ ‏ عَلَيۡنَا ‏ حِسَابَهُمْ‏ ‏ ﴿۲۶﴾ Then verily on us is their reckoning.
